Portfolio Companies

Following are the Portfolio Companies of Asia West I and II

Mobius Technologies, Inc. located in Lincoln, California, is a materials science and engineering company that has developed and commercialized proprietary technology for recycling thermoset plastic on a global scale. The Mobius process allows post-industrial polyurethane scrap foam to be economically recycled as a direct substitute for virgin chemicals in the manufacture of new polyurethane foam while maintaining or improving finished foam properties. Mobius’ micronized polyurethane ("MPU") also serves as a replacement binder for isocyanate and phenolic resins used in the manufacture of engineered wood products.View Detail

MBA Polymers located in Richmond, California, is considered the world leader in recycling of plastics from end-of-life durable consumer products and electronics. MBA harvests the high value engineered resins (e.g., ABS, HIPS, PP) from mixed plastic scrap and refines those resins into pellets that compete with virgin resins produced in a petrochemical process. In addition to its initial facility in California, MBA majority-owns and operates two full-scale commercial plants in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China and Kematen, Austria. Additional plants are in the planning stages.View Detail

E-Leather Ltd, based in Peterborough, England, manufactures mass produced “engineered leather on a roll” utilizing its proprietary, breakthrough technology that uses waste leather fibers as raw material in a modern manufacturing process. The raw material consists of offcuts and shavings from tanneries which are abundantly available and normally disposed of in landfills. E-Leather’s finished product is virtually indistinguishable from natural leather (because it is made from natural leather) but offers enhanced performance, far superior economics, and greater market appeal to customers seeking environmental credentials.View Detail

MaSeR Corporation, based in Marblehead, Massachusetts, significantly improves the economics of recovering valuable commodities from composite-bearing scrap utilizing a proprietary process for separating and recovering metal and non-metal fractions. Target feedstocks include discarded electronic and electrical equipment and a wide assortment of post-industrial and post-consumer wastes. MaSeR operates its own recycling lines and purchases electronic scrap exclusively from electronics recyclers and asset managers. A full-scale MaSeR plant is operating in Barrie, Ontario (Canada) and several additional sites are planned. View Detail

In-Pipe Technology Company, based in Wheaton, Illinois, provides services to the wastewater industry using proprietary technology to add naturally-occurring, non-pathogenic, formulations and quantities of microbes to a sewer system. This treatment strategically modifies the biofilm inside the sewer system piping and turns the passive collection system into a powerful pre-treatment process. In-Pipe’s microbes have been specially selected because they work together with the existing biofilm to promote a more efficient biological community, resulting in numerous benefits to both the wastewater collection system and treatment plant operations.
