manages the China Environment Fund (“CEF”) which invests in non-listed companies based in the People’s Republic of China that provide products and services that contribute to the improvement of the natural environment. CEF is one of the leading environmental venture capital funds in China and has developed a portfolio of companies involved with recovery of copper sulfate and other metals from industrial effluent, thermal energy storage, recycling of black liquor effluent from non-wood pulp mills (the largest single source of water pollution in China), advanced wastewater treatment, catalytic converter technology and photovoltaics.
